About Fran

I have been painting and sculpting for approximately 10 years. I am predominantly self taught in painting, and study sculpture under Marianne Groh.

I cannot say I have one particular style. Although I am personally drawn to the Classics, I would describe my style more as Classical Expressionism. I enjoy playing with style. I use oils mainly in my paintings, although I have used powdered and liquid pigments, acrylics, water colors, and many textures. I have also done some abstract landscapes and figurative work.

My sculptures are figurative in nature with an impressionist edge to them as well. They are mostly made from water clay, although I have had some pieces bronzed, and have recently had a piece cast in glass.

I hope to continue this journey of art and creating in new and fun ways.
